As we approach Giving Tuesday, we want to share why your support during this time is crucial for us. Over the past year, we have faced rising operational costs that impact our ability to serve our community effectively.

Like many, we have felt the impact of increasing costs for goods and services. We remain committed to serving our community every day of the year, operating seven days a week, 365 days a year. During this giving season, we rely heavily on the generosity of our donors to meet our budgetary goals and continue providing our essential services to the 12-step groups.

In response to our growing turnover rate, we made the decision to raise our staff wages above the minimum wage for the first time in our 45 year history. This change aims to retain our valued team members and reduce the costs and time associated with training new hires. A stable staff not only enhances our efficiency but also allows us to focus our resources on growth and better services for you.

Looking ahead to 2026, we have exciting plans that will enhance our facilities and services:

•  Building a Stand-alone Covered Patio: This will create an inviting outdoor space for meetings and gatherings, regardless of the weather.
•  Expanding Seating in Our Meeting Room: We aim to increase capacity in our small meeting room from 15 to 35. 
• Replacing Aging Picnic Tables: We will replace three old picnic tables to provide outside seating for gatherings and activities.
